Guest Policies & Guidelines
To help ensure a safe, respectful, and welcoming experience for all, we ask that guests observe the following:
Booking & Payment: A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Full payment must be received at least two weeks prior to your arrival or event date. Bookings that are not prepaid within this timeframe may be released. We accept e-transfer (preferred), cash, cheque, debit, and credit card.
Cancellations: Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. For cancellations made in advance, we will make every effort, where possible, to offer a credit toward a future stay or program. No refunds are provided for late cancellations or no-shows.
Check-In & Check-Out: Check-in is from 4:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 a.m. Early arrivals or late departures may be accommodated when possible—please inquire in advance.
A Shared and Respectful Environment: The Centre maintains an alcohol-free environment. We ask all guests to help preserve a quiet and peaceful atmosphere—loud music or disruptive noise is not permitted. Guests are expected to show respect for others, staff, and shared spaces always.
Respect for the Land: The Centre is located within a natural environment that is home to wildlife and native plant life. We ask guests to: Respect wildlife and their habitat; Avoid picking flowers or removing branches from live trees; Leave the land as they found it. Please report any concerns to the Centre’s office.
Health & Safety: Please follow any guidance provided by staff related to safety, emergency procedures, or use of facilities.
Smoking: Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas, including near the dining room entrance, in front of the main entrance, or on cabin decks.
Water & Facilities: The Centre’s water is regularly tested and safe to drink. Guests are welcome to bring bottled water if preferred.
Phones & Communication: Free Wifi is available in the main lodge. Guests are encouraged to use cell phones when required – as onsite telephone service is not provided.
Personal Belongings: Guests are responsible for their personal items. The Centre is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
Damages: Guests are responsible for any damage to property or facilities beyond normal use. Costs for repair or additional cleaning may be charged where necessary.
Liability: By staying at the Centre, guests acknowledge and accept responsibility for their participation in activities and use of the property. The Centre is not liable for personal injury, loss of life, or damage to personal property, except where required by law.
Unforeseen Circumstances: In the event of circumstances beyond our control (such as severe weather or other unexpected events), the Centre reserves the right to modify or cancel bookings. In such cases, every effort will be made to offer alternative dates or credit where possible.
Accessibility: The Centre is committed to providing a welcoming and accessible environment. If you have specific accessibility needs, we encourage you to contact us in advance so we can best support your visit.
Our Approach: The Anishinabe Spiritual Centre is a place of reflection, learning, and community. These guidelines are in place to help ensure that all who visit can experience the peace, respect, and care that define the Centre.
Privacy & Information Policy
The Anishinabe Spiritual Centre respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.
We collect only the information needed to support your visit and participation in Centre activities, such as your name, contact details, booking information, and any details you choose to provide when making an inquiry. This information is used to process bookings, communicate with you, and support your experience at the Centre.
From time to time, we may send updates about the Centre, including program information, news, or opportunities to support our work. You may choose to opt out of these communications at any time.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information may be shared only when necessary to process payments, meet legal requirements, or support essential operations, and is handled with care.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and limit access to authorized personnel. You may request access to your personal information or ask questions about how it is used by contacting us directly.
